Church Attendance

God is worthy of our worship. It's in the Bible, Psalm 100:4-5, NIV. "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations."

Go to church to find the Lord and think about Jesus. It's in the Bible, Psalm 27:4, NIV. "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple."

Going to church is especially important in the last days. It's in the Bible, Hebrews 10:25, TLB. "Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near."

God promises His presence even in small groups of believers. It's in the Bible, Matthew 18:20, TLB. "For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I will be right there among them."

Be glad you can worship freely. It's in the Bible, Psalm 122:1, NIV. "I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.' "

Go to church to listen and to learn. It's in the Bible, Ecclesiastes 5:1, NIV. "Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong."

We go to church to meet God. It's in the Bible, Habakkuk 2:20, NIV. "But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him."

Jesus set the example for us with His church attendance. It's in the Bible, Luke 4:16, NIV. "He went to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day, He went into the synagogue, as was His custom. And He stood up to read."
